At Elm Tree Early Learning, we are dedicated to supporting children, families, and the community by offering an enriching and affordable kindergarten program. Our kindergarten program receives free funding from the Queensland Government, allowing your child to attend 15 hours of kindergarten per week at no cost, along with the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), which further reduces your out-of-pocket expenses. This makes high-quality education more accessible for Queensland families, empowering children to get the best start in their educational journey.
Enrol today and take advantage of the Queensland Free Kindy Incentive to give your child a head start in their educational journey. With our commitment to holistic care, educational excellence, and strong community connections, Elm Tree Early Learning is the perfect place for your child to grow, learn, and thrive.
The Queensland Free Kindy Program provides 15 hours of free early childhood education per week for children in the year before they start school. This funding is designed to help families reduce the cost of early childhood education and make kindergarten more accessible.
Our centre offers a comprehensive kindergarten program where children can attend for 15 hours per week. These hours are spread over a minimum of two days, with each day consisting of 7.5 hours. The Queensland Government subsidises these 15 hours, reducing your out-of-pocket costs for your child’s education.
In addition to the Free Kindy Program, eligible families can apply for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), which further reduces the amount you pay for kindergarten. The CCS is applied to any hours beyond the 15 free hours, reducing your GAP fees. The CCS is available for eligible families based on their income and other factors.
For 40 weeks of the year (the state school terms), your child can attend 15 hours of kindergarten free of charge through the Queensland Free Kindy subsidy. Any hours outside the 15-hour weekly allocation will be subsidised by the CCS, which will reduce your out-of-pocket expenses based on your CCS entitlement. During the remaining 12 weeks when the Free Kindy subsidy is not available, the CCS will still apply, further reducing the costs for you.
Children must be four years old by June 30th in the year they are enrolling in kindergarten to be eligible for the Queensland Free Kindy Program.
Our kindergarten program runs five days a week and delivers the 15 hours of free education per week across at least two days. The program operates during our long daycare hours, ensuring flexibility for families. The Queensland Government’s 15-hour subsidy applies during state school terms, covering 40 weeks of the year. During the 12 weeks outside these terms, the CCS is applied to reduce your out-of-pocket fees.
Any hours beyond the 15 free kindy hours per week are charged according to our regular fees, but the CCS will apply to reduce the cost. This ensures that you continue to benefit from affordable childcare and education.
Yes! The Free Kindy subsidy can be combined with the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) to further reduce your out-of-pocket costs. By combining these, families can maximise savings and ensure that their child receives the best care and education at an affordable rate.
