At Elm Tree Early Learning, our collective vision is emphasized by our core pillars of practice that have been derived from our values as educators and as people. It is our goal to promote a genuine, calm, positive, and harmonious environment to allow all children to feel connected, empowered, and supported in their early learning journeys.
Through role modelling genuine acts of kindness, our educators promote an environment that is free of judgment, which is fair and inclusive to all children. Children are witnesses to educators that model respect, care, and appreciation for people and their environment, allowing them to feel connected to each other, nature, the land, and the community.
Through our love of learning, educators provide children with an opportunity to become confident and involved learners. Allowing children to feel empowered to make their own choices in a space of kindness, support, trust, forgiveness, and love. Children are supported and validated with positive strategies that allow them to make informed choices about their own behaviors. Educators encourage children to negotiate their own rights and provide time and space for children to engage in individual and collaborative pursuits.
Centre Management and the Leadership team role model and promote an atmosphere that is genuine and highlights honesty, gratitude, and integrity. Educators feel supported in their roles and promote opportunities that allow for children to express their own ideas, problem-solve, explore, experiment, and reflect on what they are learning, why they are learning, and how they are learning.
