From Birth, children experience living and learning with others in family and community groups, and in early childhood settings.
We recognise parents as the primary, and most important, educators in their child’s lives, and value the importance of the rights and responsibilities of parents as the most significant role models in the eyes of their child.
Therefore, both Parents and Children are respected as valued members of our Elm Tree community, and Educators will always respect and support their input, ideas and voices.
We will make available information about each child using a portfolio method of recording the child’s achievements and individual development.
Parents and families will have access to the portfolios at all times, and be actively encouraged to contribute as valued voices in the documentation of the child’s on-going learning and development.
